Honor Flight

The topic this week is Honor Flight Historic Triangle, an organization devoted to taking World War II veterans on an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. to see and experience the World War II Memorial. The memorial opened in 2004. Honor Flight began a few years later with a single chapter and has since grown to 33 hubs in a number of states.
My guests on the program are Kelley Hall and two World War II veterans who made the trip last year, Ed Knight and Gene Evans. Honor Flight's next trip to Washington is scheduled for Saturday, October 20th.
